We use special clear plastic brackets and white epoxy coated arch wires for an almost invisible smile while wearing these appliances. You can be in and out of treatment in no time at all.
Our financing plan makes this and other treatment more affordable.
Our mainstay however is the combined Dentofacial Orthopedics/Orthodontics. These are modalities designed to make significant changes to a person’s skeletal alignment of their jaw to cranium relationships. After a diagnostic evaluation, that may include but not be limited to any of the following:
Physical Examination
Diagnostic models
Diagnostic Photographs
Panoramic & Cephalometric Radiograms
Synthesis and Consultation
These techniques are used because of our involvement in the diagnosis and treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD). Because of the need to use orthodontic techniques to help these cases out it was decided some years ago to treat the youngsters who were on a collision course for a big problem as an adult. The results have been very rewarding.
What you see here is the effect the removal of the upper first bicuspid tooth has on the dental arch form. The left half is the complete side and the right half is missing the bicuspid. When this tooth is removed it very often traps the lower jaw into a retruded position. This often sets up a situation where a TMJ dysfunction will develop.
An example of some of the appliances used are shown here.
This common situation is treated with a Sagittal appliance
This is an example of a “Twin-Block” appliance designed to make a weak chin stronger.
These appliances are used at various times and can be designed for a variety of treatment outcomes. There are times they can be the sole form of treatment. There are times that traditional “braces” are then used to “finish” or “detail” the dentition. This is determined on a case by case basis. Fees are adjusted accordingly
